LANGAN FINANCIAL GROUP

Senior Financial Advisor - Retirement Planning

Central Pennsylvania | Full-time

Build meaningful retirement-planning relationships with a team that has your back.

Langan Financial Group is an independent, family-owned financial planning firm serving Central Pennsylvania. We are looking for an experienced advisor who wants to help individuals and families make thoughtful decisions as they approach or live in retirement.

You do not need to bring an existing book of business to be considered. We provide leads and prospective-client opportunities, so you can focus on advice and client relationships without having to generate every opportunity on your own.

The opportunity

You will lead planning relationships and help clients connect retirement income, investments, taxes, Social Security, retirement accounts, and estate considerations into clear next steps. You will have room to manage your work, with a collaborative team available to share ideas and coordinate support when a client needs additional expertise.

What you will do

  • Lead meetings with clients and prospective clients, understand their goals, and explain options in plain language.
  • Develop and review plans covering retirement income, investment strategy, tax-aware planning, Social Security, and retirement accounts.
  • Help clients evaluate important decisions, identify practical next steps, and stay on track as their needs change.
  • Prepare for meetings, document recommendations and follow-up items, and respond to clients in a timely way.
  • Coordinate with financial planning, operations, and retirement plan colleagues to deliver a consistent client experience.
  • Follow firm policies, applicable regulatory requirements, and documentation and service standards.

What you will bring

  • At least five years of direct, client-facing financial planning or advisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience advising pre-retirees and retirees on retirement income and related planning decisions.
  • Strong financial planning knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust through education and follow-through.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach; strong organization; and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients and teammates.

Seven or more years of relevant experience and a recognized planning credential are preferred. A CFP® certification or other relevant credential is welcome, but not required. Candidates must meet the licensing and registration requirements applicable to the position.

A supportive, engaging place to do your best work

Our work is fast-paced and engaging. We value initiative, open communication, and dependable follow-through. You will have autonomy to lead client relationships and organize your work, with support and guidance from colleagues without being micromanaged.

Compensation and benefits

We offer competitive compensation, along with health, vision, and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, and three weeks of vacation. Compensation details are discussed with candidates during the interview process.

Langan Financial Group is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants with varied backgrounds and experiences.
